Weitzman and Big Picture Media Develop Music Video for RTA

Large cast and crew spend three days shooting on-location


Annapolis, MD – Weitzman and Big Picture Media were recently tasked with developing a music video in an effort to start changing negative perceptions of riding the bus and to appeal to more segments of the population – including college students. The creative theme of the campaign is: “Take The Bus. It’s About Time.”

The newly produced video is one of the first marketing initiatives to help raise awareness for Central Maryland’s new regional transportation organization. The Regional Transportation Agency was launched in 2014 in an effort to provide cost savings and efficiencies for customers in Howard, Anne Arundel and Prince George’s counties and the City of Laurel.

“Weitzman and Big Picture Media offered us a spectacular end product for the RTA brand. From the onset of the project, Weitzman and Big Picture Media provided us with a unique blend of creative direction, amazing camera angles, a fresh new music clip and a multi-talented dance crew,” said Sue Poole, Director of Communications of the Regional Transportation Agency of Central Maryland. “It was very important for us to finish on time and on budget and both Weitzman and Big Picture Media exceeded our expectations. We are looking forward to the expansion of this project in the future.”

Three talent castings were held in Annapolis, Columbia, and Frederick in advance of the 3-day on-location shoot.

Nic McLean, an award-winning Director of Photography, was brought in for the special project.

An original pop song from the singer/songwriting team of Brooks and Brett Barry called “Invincible” was commissioned and licensed.

Frederick-based choreographer, Jess Beach, from 24/7 Dance Studio designed all on-camera dance movement.
