SAVAGE, MD- The Regional Transportation Agency of Central Maryland serving Howard County, Anne Arundel County, Prince George’s County and the City of Laurel announces the selection of Mark Pritchard as its new General Manager. The selection was made after Mark’s short term assignment as Interim General Manager under the Transportation Management Services contract with First Transit. “We are very excited to have Mark transition into a more permanent role,” Howard County Administrator John Powell said. His strong leadership, management skills and experience will support the RTA’s current efforts to serve the increasing transportation needs of the public.”
Mark a native of Annapolis, Maryland comes to the RTA with over 30 years of experience as a transit executive in both the public and private sector. He has a broad range of experience in all phases of transportation management including ADA paratransit, labor relations, service planning, operations, maintenance and finance. Prior to the appointment, Mark worked in Tulsa and Oklahoma cities where he redesigned service routes, focused on revenue development of transit facilities such as bus garages and customer waiting centers and worked with employees at all levels to improve ridership and
