No-Cost Rides for Veterans to Baltimore VA Hospital!
Effective Monday, November 3, 2025, all registered RTA paratransit riders who are U.S. military veterans can ride free to the VA Hospital in Baltimore — and this benefit will continue moving forward.
Seniors, 60 years and older, can ride for free (regular bus route service only)
A valid government ID, such as a State Driver's License, State ID, Passport, Medicare Card or RTA Certified FREE Ride Card (apply below) is required.

HCPSS Middle and High School Students Ride Free
More than 30,000 students can now ride the RTA system fare-free, and more than 10,000 students can access a stop within a quarter-mile of their school.
